Okay,
so I know that Belgrade may not be on anyone's list of
places to visit, but I really enjoyed this eclectic capital
of Serbia. Despite the fact that we bombed Belgrade three
years ago, most people in Belgrade were extremely nice,
and the only post cards we found expressing anti-American
sentiments were written in English - obviously for disenchanted
American ex-pats. The only problems I had with Belgrade
were that both Shain and I managed to step in dog poop.
Amusing antecdotes from Belgrade include Shain giving
the casino man 20 extra dinar for no particular reason
and talking to the Yugoslavian border guard who didn't
speak any English, causing us to ask extremely inane questions
("The war... was it bad??").
